The Lettie W. Jensen Community Center is designed to enhance any occasion. Our theater, conference and community rooms are available for concerts, performances, wedding receptions, showers, anniversaries, birthday, graduation parties, conferences, seminars, training activities, committee meetings, along with any other corporate events. OTHER FEATURES

Renters also have access to a large screen TV, VCR, computer operated theater stage lighting, large parking area, vending machines, heat and serve kitchen, dishes and serving ware, automatic coffee maker and accesories, tables and chairs for parties up to 250 guests in our fully air-conditioned and heated building.

LOCATION

Amherst is located 15 miles southeast of Stevens Point (highway 10), 9 miles east of Plover (highway B) and 12 miles northwest of Waupaca (highway 10). Non-Profit Information as of June 17, 2002 , groups that will be able to use the Jensen Community Center at NO RENTAL COST will be those that are strictly a non-profit group, (501-C3), and/or groups that are for the continuing improvement, education, and special benefit of the Tomorrow River Community. (An exception would be groups or individuals that charge an admission fee.) These include, but are not exclusive to:

4-H, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Brownies, Tomorrow River Tomorrow, Community Events open to the public that do not charge a fee, Women's Clubs, St. Michael's Hospital Blood Drive, School Clubs, Tomorrow River Conservation Club, Tomorrow River Schools.

The rent free groups must, however, pay a deposit which can be returned if the space is left in the same condition as prior to the event, or held as a "deposit on account". The kitchen may also be used with a nominal deposit.

 

A rental fee WILL be charged to groups that use the center for:

A place of business or worship, Private parties (weddings, receptions, showers, birthday parties, etc.), Weight Watchers, Tomorrow River Valley Coop, Snowmobile Club, SHARE, Church groups, Government Agencies, Village of Amherst, Events charging a fee, Exercise classes, School Events, Concerts, Theater productions, and events serving any form of alcohol.
