The Amherst Family Resource Center is a nonprofit organization that provides free parent education and support for families in Portage County. The office is located in the Lettie W. Jensen Center at 487 N. Main Street, Amherst. Office hours during the school year are Wednesday 8:30-9:30 am and Thursday 3:30-4:30 pm. Summer office hours are by appointment only. Other times are available by appointment by calling (715) 310-8174.

Services available include parenting classes, a parenting book and video library, a toy lending library, and a telephone warmline where parents may call with questions or concerns.

Stay & Play A weekly, unstructured playtime for parents or guardians and children ages 0-5 years. It is a great time for both adults and children to socialize. It is held every Wednesday from 10:00-11:30 am at the Lettie Jensen Community Center. No pre-registration is required. A snack will be provided.
